The Council and its Equality Duty 2017

Overview

North East Derbyshire District Council (NEDDC) is committed to equalities as an employer and in delivering the services it provides to all sections of the community. We believe that no person should be treated unfairly and are committed to eliminating all forms of discrimination, advancing equality and fostering good relations between all groups in society. The Equality Act 2010 aims to reduce inequality by extending protection across a range of 'protected characteristics'. These are: - Age - Disability - Race - Gender - Religion or belief - Sexual orientation

Why are we Consulting

The purpose of this survey is to find out how community and voluntary groups representing individuals in the district perceive the delivery of council services for those individuals.

The customer insight will provide information which the Council can use to inform future service delivery.
