May 2018 Bolsover Citizens' Panel
OverviewThe Public Services (Social Value) Act came into force in January 2013. It requires people who commission public services to think about how they can also secure wider social, economic and environmental benefits. Social value can be defined as the quantification of the relative importance that people place on the changes they experience in their lives.
Why are we Consulting
The Citizens’ Panel are being asked a series of questions to allow the Council to produce a baseline Social Value for the district for each subject.
The questions will be repeated in future years which will enable the Council to track Social Value trends in context with Council spending on specific projects.
We are also asking current panel members if they would like to remain on the Citizens’ Panel due to changes in Data Protection laws known as GDPR.
