  Based on the results of this consultation, draft Plans for Clay Cross have been developed which provide for the potential improvement, regeneration and redevelopment of the town centre. This includes projects to improve:

  • the appearance and range of facilities in the town centre
  • leisure facilities
    • traffic management
    • the facilities for young people

  From Friday 31st July to Friday 21st August our second phase of consultation will be held. We will be inviting all residents, local businesses and stakeholders to provide their views on the draft Vision and Masterplan for Clay Cross.

Clay Cross has the opportunity to bid for a substantial amount of Government investment to improve the environment, create jobs and improve skills. The draft plans build on a Stage 1 Public Consultation exercise which ended on 13th July.

Top priorities identified by respondents to that consultation included improving the:

• leisure facilities
  • traffic management
