2024 Housing Strategy

A consultation for Bolsover District Council (BDC)
Closed 29 September 2024
Opened 12 August 2024

Overview

  • Status: statusclosed
  • Host Authority: authbdc
  • Why Consult?:

We recognise the distinct roles of both social housing and private development in meeting housing needs across the district, both rented and home ownership. Housing is a key determinant of health, and we want to ensure homes are safe, warm, sustainable and well-managed. We want to see a reduction in empty homes both to reduce the environmental impact and to increase local housing stock available. We also want to ensure there is adequate housing provision and supply to meet the needs of the residents in the district, taking into account any vulnerabilities.

Our Housing Strategy is due for renewal, and we are consulting on our latest draft strategy to gather your feedback on the proposals. We would appreciate the views from our residents and stakeholders in this process; your feedback about the proposed priorities and areas for delivery are key to our considerations.

Links to the survey and draft document are featured below and both highlight our four main priorities, proposed areas for delivery and the desired outcomes to see if residents and stakeholders agree or disagree with them. There is an opportunity to add your comments at the end of the survey.
